The episode starts with Mayte and Nelly go shopping for baby supplies. Mayte is just days away to pick up her adoptive daughter therefore its shopping time. Mayte is trying to focus on the essentials however her mom Nelly is easily distracted with baby clothe, accessories, basically all the cute stuff.
Next Sheree is happy to announce that her husband Terrell is moving to LA. Remember last season her husband tried to convince Sheree to move to San Diego San Diego
Nicole gets the news that the Association for Prostate and Breast Cancer is giving her an award however she will need to prepare an acceptance speech. Nicole is happy to be recognized for the award however she is scared to death about giving an acceptance speech, public speaking is way out of her comfort zone. Nicole and her mom talk and get emotional. Nicole admits she is scared of losing her mom.
Meanwhile, Sheree pays Jessica a visit and they soon start talking about Jessica’s relationship. Jessica tells Sheree she is considering moving in with her boyfriend however admits she loves having her space. Jessica also tells Sheree her relationship is moving quite quickly, Sheree asks Jessica is she loves her boyfriend which Jessica responds she will eventually. Jessica admits she doesn’t love her boyfriend like she was with Jose and Sheree tells her she needs time until she is really sure about her feelings. Sheree thinks Jessica and Jose’s history will scare future men away.
It’s award night for Nicole, she arrives at the award ceremony and is happy that her family and friends are there to support her however her nerves are taking over which is making her more nervous. Nicole decides to have a alcohol to relax and she has a few drinks. Nicole is the first one called on stage to receive her award for Spirit of Entertainment, and she starts giving her speech and then she starts to repeat herself, slur and stumble over her words. Sheree, Mayte and Drea think Nicole is drunk and I found this scene HILARIOUS! We need more drunk scenes from Nicole, she’s fun!
Next we see Mayte and Nelly installing a baby car seat in her car as she is getting ready to pick up her adoptive daughter. Mayte reveals she is happy and nervous since she is not used to being Mayte the "mom". Mayte however doesn’t share this news to anyone except for her mother.
Next, Mayte invites all the ladies over as she wants to show the ladies her new décor and all the new changes she made to her place. All the ladies are in love with Mayte’s new styled home and then Mayte excuses herself, and tells the ladies she has one more addition to share with them. She comes back and surprises the ladies as she presents them her adoptive daughter. All the ladies are overjoyed and happy for Mayte. Jessica is also happy for Mayte however she's surprised on quick the adoption process was. Drea then gets irritated with Jessica. Drea thinks Jessica needs to stop asking questions and be more supportive, Drea is not happy with Jessica once again.
