According to the Independent, Dublin Wives star Virginia Macari's fiance Kaste Dahl is charged with fraud of up to 30m Norwegian Krone (over 4 million US dollars) in connection with a holiday cabin property located in southern Norway.
The site is reporting that Anne Glede Allum, the police prosecutor at the Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime in Oslo, revealed that Mr. Dahl has pleaded guilty to giving false information to obtain a bank loan and that a trial date has yet to be set.
Socialite and fashion designer Virginia Macari (39) is best known for TV3's reality show Dublin Wives, the rest of the cast included Lisa Murphy, Danielle Marr, Jo Jordan, and Roz Flanagan.
Macari met Kaste Dahl in Marbella in 2009 and the couple got engaged in May 2012 during the final episode of Dublin Wives Together they have a two-year-old son, Thor. Earlier this year they moved back to Spain but Mr. Dahl was deported back to Oslo in April to face fraud charges.
They were due to wed in Capri, Italy in the first week of June this year but Virginia told the Herald that the nuptials were delayed due to family reasons and that they hoped to wed in August instead.
Her actress sister Sonya gave birth to her first child on August 21st and Virginia cited the baby's arrival as a reason for delaying the wedding.
"It will be this autumn, but we haven't set a date yet because we want to wait until after the baby comes," Virginia told the Herald.
"We could book it for August, but then the baby could be a few weeks late, so you just never know with these things."
She was due to fly to LA to scout out wedding dresses in March, but also put that on hold.
"I already knew that the wedding was going to be put back so I didn't think there would be much point," she said. "But I have a few ideas about what I want.
Our thoughts are with baby Thor and Virginia during this difficult time.
