Kandi Burruss' national tour of her musical A Mother's Love—which was seen on The Real Housewives of Atlanta has sadly been abruptly cancelled, and the writer/producer/actress took to Instagram to express her disappointment. "I licensed A Mother's Love to a promoter with high expectations of finally seeing my creation go on the road and I am very saddened and frustrated by the cancellation of the tour," she wrote. "More than that my heart goes out to the cast who are all AMAZINGLY talented."
Kandi has been posting a lot of backstage photos from her passion project, showing just how much time and hard work goes into making a national tour of a musical happen. "It breaks my heart that we won't be able to put together this show for my fans who have bought tickets and who all were looking forward to seeing it. I stand with them in disbelief and despair that this has happened and was caught off guard as well."
A Mother's Love--based on Kandi's own relationship with her mother and her now-husband Todd Tucker--opened in Atlanta last fall to a packed house. The newlywed had been getting ready to hit the next stop on her tour, Detroit, when she heard the news.
Kandi also expressed her gratitude for her fans and followers. "I want to thank everyone who has supported all of the projects I have worked on. I hope you understand that the cancellation was beyond my control. Please don't hold it against me!…Thanks for you love and understanding."
Those who already purchased tickets will be getting a refund.
