Lauren Simon, Magali Gorre and Ampika Pickston dish on The Real Housewives of Cheshire. The ITVBe reality stars dish on the glamour, the drama, and find out which Housewife had to hire a bodyguard and why. Also, Lauren reveals the real reason why she join the hit series and more!
Lauren Simon joked that she signed up to RHOCheshire because her husband told her to get a job. The Real Housewives of Cheshire star says she has ‘never worked so hard’ as she has on the show after signing up because her husband told her to 'get a job'.
The mother-of-two who is married to businessman Paul Simon tells Manchester Evening News: “Paul told me to get a job jokingly so when I got offered this, the devil in me said to do it. I didn’t think about it too seriously - that’s how I live.”
Laughing, she adds: “I’ve never worked so hard!”
Paul wasn’t too happy about her new ‘job’ at first, she admits.
“He didn’t want to do it and he didn’t want me to be in the show,” she says - but she soon talked him round.
Simon did a birthday party for her pet rabbit (who she's also been known to take out for walks on a leash): “Who doesn’t want to see that?”
Lauren knows criticism will inevitably come with fame - she’s not exactly endeared herself to some Greater Manchester viewers already, after slating Bolton in an TV promo - but she says it doesn’t bother her.
“I’ve actually got a bodyguard now so it’s fine,” she says. “I’ve been famous forever, for all the wrong reasons, and I’m a little bit of an exhibitionist, so bring it on.”
Divorcee and salon owner Ampika Pickston, had this to say: “Forget about anything else on British TV at the moment. There is no other show with as much opulence, glamour and attractive women who go through the highs and lows and come out laughing."
Magali, who says that she’s ‘40-something’ adds: “We argue, we laugh, we cry... We’re not actors - we are six strong women - and this is our real life.”
