Chyka Keebaugh is taking to her personal blog to dish on this week's episode of of The Real Housewives of Melbourne. Chyka Keebaugh weighs in on Gina Liano and Pettifleur Berenger's dramatic confrontation. Chyka writes:
"Tonight we start with Lydia, Pettifleur and Jackie shopping at one of Lydia’s favourite shops Cose Ipanema. This is a great place for Pettifleur to fill the girls in with what happened in Sydney and to talk about the simmering frustration she is having with Gina. There certainly is a clashing of strong wills here and Pettifleur feels that Gina always interrupts her never let’s her finish what she is saying! What do you think? They are both such strong ladies it is hard to get a word in I have to admit.
I loved the next scene of Gamble showing Cash at his first dog show! Gamble looked absolutely stunning in peplum dress and cape, and I loved watching her chase Cash around in her heels, it was just hilarious. I think she definitely provided some entertainment for the people at the dog show and I loved that Cash was awarded third prize. I’m sure this was great encouragement for Gamble to keep showing Cash.
Janet invited a group of us to the Oriental Tea House’s fabulous upstairs bar Zhou Zhou to tell us all about her new Tea business that she has started with her son Jake. This is a really big deal for Janet as Jake has certainly been on a massive journey recovering from his horrible accident and this is the first time he has felt excited and inspired. Tea has always been a big part of Janet’s life so this seems like a great idea and partnership. We were even more excited to hear about the tea master who lives in the Philippines and how Janet is going over to meet him. When she invited us all to come with her and we were so thrilled – I love a holiday in the sun! I’ve never been to the Philippines and can’t wait to explore a new country with all the girls! The Long Island ice teas came out and we’re all ready to celebrate.
Jackie asked me to meet her at a venue in the city as a possible place to hold Gambles hens night. I had never been there before and really loved the space. It had a very burlesque feel and thought that perhaps that could be a good theme for us to go down. There was a very small stage that I asked to look at as I thought we could do an amazing food table or act. When the curtain opened and the four male strippers were there- hand on heart I had no idea. My laughter was one of total nervousness and embarrassment as I had no idea what they were going to do to me! Jackie really surprised me as she became very prudish! Who would have thought that our girl would become quite shy. I on the other hand loved every second and when the guy was doing a handstand over me – which he did a couple of times just to get right! I was quite happy! I know I said no to the original idea of strippers for Gamble party – but they were so much fun and I knew that everyone would get into it! I hope so anyway…..
Next up it’s time for poker and Jackie, Pettifluer and I joined Lydia at the Shane Warne poker night. We had a ball and met some fantastic people, but honestly I had no idea what I was doing and even with all the help that was given to me – I still don’t understand the game! Give me UNO anyway! The Shane Warne Foundation is fantastic, they raise much needed funds to help sick and under privileged kids and their families. It was a fantastic night and we were all very happy to be there helping out such a great cause and are very proud of Lydia in the work she does with the foundation.
We are all excited about out trip to Manilla and there are a couple of different scenes of the girls packing and getting themselves organised. I’m someone who likes to pack and organise myself as I have my own way of doing things and I like to know exactly what I have. I do tend to overpack – but hey, a girl needs options.
We all arrive in beautiful Manilla which is seriously hot and like all women – we head out to the shops. We went to the most beautiful shopping mall that had a great selection of shops and broke up into a couple of groups. Gamble, Gina and I decided to have a drink before we started to shop. I told the girls that Pettifleur had given me a copy of her manuscript to Switch The Bitch. I really enjoyed the book and understood exactly what Pettifleur was trying to achieve with her book. I am a massive googler and decided to see what was out there with a similar name and was very surprised to see there was another book already written called the The Bitch Switch. I was always going to bring this up with Pettifluer but wanted to know of there was any legal ramifications regarding the title from Gina as this is her area of expertise. It looks like there could be some issues so I will definitely talk to Pettifluer and see if she is across it all.
We all meet for drinks on the rooftop of the Grammercy hotel which has an incredible view of Manila. There was an electrical storm coming and it was very funny to see all of our hair standing on end (mine a little more so than normal!) I’m not sure how well you can see it but Gamble with her very long hair had it standing completely straight. The other girls arrive and we sit down to dinner and to chat about the day we have all had.
Pettifleur starts by asking me what I think about her book so I tell her my thoughts – how much I enjoyed it, not sure about the word bitch being used and the fact there was another book with a similar title. She seemed across it all which knowing Petttifleur did not surprise me at all. As usual when we are all together – things took a change for the worse when Gina airs her opinion of the book and off we go again. This fight has been simmering away so I knew it was destined to happen sooner or later. What did you think? Should Gina have said what she did? Should Pettifleur have reacted the way she did? What will happen next?"
