Luann de Lesseps is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Luann explains why she was disappointed in Sonja's behavior and talks about her new single, "Girl Code." Luann writes:
"I’m excited to announce the drop of my new dance single “Girl Code: Don’t Be So Uncool” which I debuted on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live this week (check it out) and at the NYC Pride Parade on June 28th! My song will be available to buy on July 1st, so stay tuned to @CountessLuann on Twitter.
I tried to show the girls a good time at the Warwick Hotel pre-party for my Countess Collection launch available at Evine.com and for my New York Resident Magazine cover, but you can have the best of everything and there’s still drama. Ramona did admit she was a bit harsh on Kristen and that her timing wasn’t the best, so hopefully they’ll move forward and forget the whole thing. Bethenny was right, if Ramona were a super hero, she’d be called “The Apologizer.” They did seem to connect later in Turks and Caicos, so anything is possible in the super hero world.
Where was Sonja during my pre-party? Working the red carpet of course! Hogging the red carpet is a no-no. When Ramona and Sonja began working the room flirting with this man and that, you could see how when they are together--their maturity level dips to that of teenagers. You’d think they never went to a cocktail party before! Why Sonja was so snarky about my collection (after I was so supportive of her foray into clothing design) is beyond me. It shows how disconnected she is from real women. I designed my Countess Collection to make women feel and look great all day, from work, to play, to an evening out. Sonja acted like an immature snob at my party, and whether it was the wine talking or how she actually feels, she could have kept her opinion to herself. I would never do that to her.
I was happy to leave New York and the snow behind for Turks and Caicos. The Bella Vita Villa is a fabulous property, and it’s modern chic yet very comfortable (kind of like my collection). Like other Housewives' trips, when we arrived, it was the “run for the rooms.” Ramona always acts childish when it comes to which room she and Sonja will share. Every vacation we’ve been on, they share a room, which is bizarre. I decided to take my time, and I ended up with the best room in the house. It has its own bath, and I can walk out from my room to the pool. Beautiful!
The RamonaCoaster started rolling from the time we arrived and her bright yellow bikini and stripper heels reminded me of Monaco poolside. She does look amazing, but the vibe on the island is very chill, and Ramona doesn’t chill well. As for her saying that I don’t count when it comes to apologizing for her room-rushing behavior…that just shows how erratic she can be. So, I decided to go paddle boarding rather than watch Ramona paddle on her pool noodle! I’m pretty athletic, but paddle boarding isn’t easy as you can see, but I did have a lot of fun doing it.
After playing in the surf all afternoon, I was really hungry and wanted Bethenny and Sonja to join us at the table so we could begin our dinner. I tried to convince them to put their differences aside so that we could eat together but as you saw, I was unable to distract them from their problems. Thank goodness for a bit of comic relief…was Ramona wearing a macramé dress or a bug net? You decide. While Sonja and Bethenny rehashed Sonja’s latest tipsy escapade hitting on my friend’s boyfriend, we decided to go ahead and start our meal. The lobster was orgasmic…so decadent and delish. The meal and the setting were perfect for sexy conversation, and I was happy to share my latest mind-blowing encounter with he-who-shall-remain-nameless! I can share with you that I’m very happy being single, and I’m enjoying my life to the fullest. Chic c'est la vie…c’est bon!
Join us next week from Turks and Caicos! Until then, don’t be uncool. Xo"
