Luann de Lesseps: “I Think It Was Carole And Heather Who Acted Dreadfully”

Luann de Lesseps is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Luann is surprised by Carole's conversation with Bethenny. Luann writes:

"Back in the Big Apple, I was glad to see that Bethenny’s making progress on her apartment and as you can see by her decorating scheme, she’s combining style with functionality…totally her! I’m excited to see it when it’s finished, and I’m so glad she’s getting close to settling in with her daughter. Having a place to call home will help Bethenny deal with the rest of her life. During her visit with Carole, I was taken aback when Carole called me a “dreadful fool” for having a bit of fun in Turks and Caicos. I think it was Carole and Heather who acted dreadfully when they charged into my room hoping to find me in a compromised position. Bethenny had my back on this one, though, when she called out Carole for trying to “bust me” instead of considering my privacy. As usual, Ramona leaves the naked guy upstairs, and I get the heat. I get it, the girls were a little alarmed to find a man sleeping upstairs, but they definitely broke the #GirlCode that morning, and I’m ready to put this situation to bed (hah!).

You wouldn’t have known that the Denim and Diamonds soiree was Kristen’s first charity event. She did a great job raising money for Smile Train, and I was happy to support her and this cause. Of course Ramona and Sonja worked the room like cougars on safari! They never pass up a chance to meet men, and it’s always fun to see how they can turn any event into a mating ritual. I think Ramona should have stuck to flirting rather than harassing Heather about why her True Faith jewelry wasn’t listed as an event sponsor. We all helped decorate the jeans, and I didn’t expect my brand to receive recognition simply because I contributed and nor should Ramona. Sometimes you have to do things without being recognized. Thank goodness for Sonja making a joke and lightening the mood.

We’ve had experiences on the show with psychics before, and it’s always interesting to see what they predict. Who remembers when we were in Morocco and the psychic foretold that Mario was cheating on Ramona? Turns out she was right! The reader that Carole, Dorinda, and Heather visited in Queens was eerily accurate as well, especially when she told Carole about the black jeep with the scratch that Carole’s husband Anthony owned before his death. Then she predicted Heather’s son Jack would have successful surgery on his ears and that Dorinda’s husband did visit her via balloon after his memorial service. I need to make an appointment with this lady pronto!

Regardless of how I feel about Carole dating Adam, I do have to say, he’s a very talented chef. When Carole wanted to buy premade tapenade, he was very patient and assertive about his meal plan. Her dinner party looked delicious, and I loved her table scape with the calla lilies. Then we got a glimpse of Heather’s son Jack’s birthday party where Kristen and Josh gave him tickets to a wrestling event and a huge wrestling belt. That kid is so adorable! I loved his enthusiasm.

We close on a poignant note with Carole and Dorinda leaving for London to bring home Anthony’s urn. We learn that Dorinda lived in London for a decade before marrying her late husband Richard and they had many great friends across the pond from which she withdrew after his death. Both Carole and Dorinda’s husbands left the party way too early, and I admire how both ladies have persevered in spite of the tragedies that befell them. As you can see, it’s not all parties and vacations for The Real Housewives, and I thank you for joining us on our journeys.

Until next week, don’t break the #GirlCode!!"
