Sonja Morgan is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Sonja Morgan thinks Ramona Singer has a point--but wishes she had waited to voice it. Sonja writes:
"I completely sympathize with the stress Bethenny is under designing her apartment. Been there several times over. Go Bethenny for wanting to create a NEW home of her own for her and her daughter. I’m sure it was difficult seeing the work from her old apartment being enjoyed by her soon-to-be ex-husband, but what are you going to do?! Sometimes you just have to move on. And it looks like that’s what she is trying to do with this new apartment. Of course, this wouldn’t be Bethenny Frankel’s apartment without Skinnygirl product and colors. Her home is her sanctuary, and her work is her life, so it’s only natural that aspects of her working identity bleed through into her home.
Honestly, Carole, you really don’t understand why Luann would be upset that you barged into her room in Turks and Caicos? Carole and Heather would have loved to find a man in Luann’s room to try to bust her. But instead, all they found was an angry Luann. Looks like the joke was on them! I’m shocked, though, that Bethenny doesn’t have a strong opinion on this issue. When is the last time Bethenny didn’t have a strong opinion on any situation? It seems cut and dry to me. Heather and Carole need to relax, and Ramona needs to become adept at the art of the one-night stand. These guys were definitely not going to be around for the long haul, and you have to respect your girlfriends space.
Kristen did a great job with her Denim and Diamonds party benefitting Smile Train. She had wine, so she was already has the basics down!
Ramona was rightfully upset that her product wasn’t sufficiently advertised at the Smile Train party. Heather had Yummie Tummie everywhere, so she should have made sure Ramona was represented. It’s not her first rodeo--she knows how it goes. But it’s not appropriate for Ramona to bring up the issue at the event with the hostess and other guests. Typical unfiltered Ramona. Bottom line: Every donation, whether $10 or millions, has to be acknowledged. Especially if you want your charity supported again by the same generous people. I have the Sonja In the City experience to know that!
I’m glad that Dorinda and Heather tried to smooth things over. It’s not healthy to have bad energy in your life. Dorinda will learn that she needs to approach her relationship with Heather with caution. It’s her relationship with Heather, though, so I don’t want to tell Dorinda every detail of my experiences with Heather. Sometimes it’s better to not get involved right away.
The pants I made for Kristen’s party are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to my designing capabilities. Check out of www.sonjamorgannewyork.com to see my full collection. I have been making clothes with my mother at the Singer sewing machine since I was a little girl. My mother always made wonderful clothes for all of us kids. Designing is in my genes and on my jeans! That’s why I ended up at the Fashion Institute of Technology for my Bachelors degree.
Carole and Dorinda are very brave to return to London and face their past head on. They are strong yet vulnerable women and I’m glad they could also lean on each other. Girlfriends are always there for you when you really need them. Or at least they are supposed to be there for you! I was very touched by the openness that they shared about their experience in losing their husbands to illness. It really was not the way many of us would think. I appreciate their frankness. It was touching."
