Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville opened up about her close pal and former costar Kim Richards at the launch of her wine Unfiltered Blonde Chardonnay at the Bluewater Grill in Redondo Beach, Calif., on Saturday, Aug. 15.
"I've been in contact with Kim," Glanville told Us Weekly. "Not in the last week, but definitely, I've had her at my home. I had her stay. I love her to pieces and she's got such a great soul. She's so smart, and she's so vibrant."
But Glanville did concede that Richards, who was admitted to a hospital after she was caught allegedly shoplifting at a Target, had a problem.
"She just has to get rid of this sickness, and then she'll be fine," said the two-time New York Times Best Selling author.
As reported, Glanville won't be back as a full-time cast member for the next season of the Bravo series, she remains close with some of her cast members, including Kim Richards, who won't be returning to the Bravo hit reality series.
"I'm friends with Yolanda [Foster], and Yolanda and I were texting this morning, and she's come out of surgery to take her implants out and she said she thinks she's turned a corner and she's doing well," she said of her pal who is struggling with Lyme disease. "So I'm happy to hear that because she's very — we're like very blunt with each other. She's a sister to me, always."
