Brooks Ayers' cancer was the main topic throughout the recent season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, with the cast not believing Ayers' diagnosis with the exception of Vicki Gunvalson, who recently reveled that she was duped by Brooks after it was confirmed that Ayers did not receive cancer treatment at City of Hope hospital.
According to a new report, the production team behind the Bravo hit reality series is claiming that producers knew Ayers' storied were shady while they were filming earlier this year.
“The crew would go to film outside the hospital for an hour or so while Brooks was inside,'” a show insider told Radar Online. “When he came out, he would refuse to talk about the ‘treatment’ he had just undergone. He couldn’t answer anyone’s questions.”‘
“Everyone knew he was lying about the whole thing. He didn’t have anyone fooled!”
Last week, Ayers admited to “fabricating” documents, calling his actions “wrong and inexcusable.”
Despite all the evidence stacked against him, Ayers is still insistent he has cancer.
“Who would ever question somebody with cancer?” he asked Andy Cohen during his one-on-one interview.
