In a new podcast interview, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville says that Kim Richards is staying sober, but revealed that she “didn’t know what to expect” after Richards’ ex-husband Monty Brinson died on January 24.
“Kim is great. I just saw her,” Glanville, 43, explained on Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss’ podcast Allegedly. “She is sober, day by day. She is doing really well. I thought that after Monty passed … I didn’t know what to expect.”
When the hosts asked the mother-of-two if she feels like she has to watch her behavior around Richards, she responded, “I feel like if you wanna be sober and you can’t handle being around someone who drinks, then don’t do it.”
Glanville admitted that she drank at Brinson’s wake, adding, “Maybe I shouldn’t drink around her, but I still do.”
Brinson died at the age of 58 after a long battle with cancer. Earlier this month, Glanville paid tribute to him during her own podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered.
“I hope [Kim] will [stay sober], but she doesn’t even know if she will,” the reality star told Von and Weiss. “She’s really at this point of saying 'It’s day by day and I’m not going to make any promises to anyone else,’ and I think that is what she should’ve said the whole time.”
Glanville also said that she will be there for Richards if she “falls off the wagon.”
