Lydia Schiavello has had to defend the nature of her relationship with Shane Warne during this season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne after affair rumors circulated in Australia. Many of Lydia's co-stars have questioned her relationship with Warne, especially newbie Susie McLean.
During McLean's recent interview with Daily Mail Australia, she claimed that Schiavello 'went out of her way' to make people believe she and the former cricketer were having an affair.
Now Lydia is setting the record straight and shutting down affair rumors and also calling out her co-star Susie McLean for 'spreading' rumors about her.
Lydia was adamant on the affair rumors, by saying that they were 'are all crap.' Schiavello is an ambassador of Warne's foundation and believes that her alignment with his charity and the various events she has attended on its behalf have lead to her being linked with Shane.
She claims that new cat member Susie McLean wrongly tied her with Warne in public and that her accusations had the potential to derail her marriage of two years to architect Andrew Norbury.
“I have no idea what her problem is,” Schiavello told AAP via Daily Mail Australia. “I am really shocked, really shocked. Hence why I don't have much to say to her. She makes up rumours, they're all crap.” The glamorous brunette, who said she donates all her appearance money on RHOM to charity, said she has been nothing but professional in her relationship with Warne. “I haven't done anything wrong,” said Lydia.
“He has never called me for a booty call but he has called Janet. If he did that with me he would get a slap in the face.”
McLean first raised the possibility of Schiavello, who she has know for years, and Warne, who she also knows well, having an affair during a recent interview with Daily Mail Australia. “It's quite disturbing because Lydia I don't think does anything in her powers to dissipate these rumors - at all.” McLean clamed that Schiavello would 'go out of her way' to cosy up to Wayne in photos.
“At the time, Lydia went out of her way to make people believe they were together,” said Susie. “She took up any opportunity to try to get into photographs (with him).” McLean also revealed that while out on the town in a group that included Schiavello, she approached Warne about the alleged affair, to which he replied: “I don't find her attractive in that way.”
