Earlier this month, Bravo officially announced that The Real Housewives of Potomac was renewed for a second season. Now, according to a new report, filming began this week and all six original cast members are returning, but what about new cast members? Find out below!
Sources close to production confirmed that shooting for season two began on Monday. According to the Washington Post, all cast members are on press lockdown by Bravo until filming wraps in about three or four months.
All six original housewives — Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Charrisse Jackson Jordan and Katie Rost — are returning for the second go-around with no additional castmates on the slate thus far.
According to an inside source, “[Bravo] was really looking but couldn’t find anyone else to do it.” The publication claims that there were plenty of potential new cast members lined up for the show, but the site claims that but none fit the network’s bill.
“They’re stuck with who they were able to get,” added the source.
The series premiere episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac broke Bravo ratings records and averaged 2.1 million viewers, making it the biggest housewives series debut since the “Beverly Hills” installation.
