According to the Associated Press and NJ.com via People, U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Stacey L. Meisel ruled against Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and reopened bankruptcy proceedings on Tuesday.
The Bravo star pleaded guilty in 2014 to bankruptcy fraud and served a 15-month sentence after admitting she and her husband hid assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitted phony loan applications to get $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.
According to the site, Giudice's lawyer Carlos Cuevas told the federal judge that the reality star now has a payment plan in place with the Internal Revenue Service and that she has paid or has agreements to pay 27 of the 29 creditors listed in her 2009 bankruptcy filing.
The site also reports that Judge Meisel's decision to reopen the case could mean unsatisfied creditors might be able to collect potential proceeds from a lawsuit. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star filed against her bankruptcy attorney.
Giudice's husband, Joe, 44, is currently serving out his 41-month sentence at the Federal Correction Institute in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
