Kelly Dodd is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Kelly stands by Vicki and says she regrets her comment about Meghan and millennials.
Kelly writes:
"What comes before part B? Part-Ay!! It's party season in the OC, as my party moves from the beach to my house. I was so excited to host the party and for the ladies to experience our home. The sunset over the ocean was gorgeous, as usual. Overall, it was a fun event. Since Tackle Box catered a delicious dinner at the beach, we served drinks and desserts at home that evening. The beautiful, luscious desert bar you see was prepared by B.Candy in Corona del Mar. B.Candy is a quintessential candy and toy store that is a wonderful addition to our village.
Unfortunately, Shannon and Meghan brought some of the chill back with them from the beach and shared it with Vicki. During the party I wasn't in a position to hear what Shannon and Vicki were talking about, so it was interesting to learn when I watched the show that Shannon agreed to forgive her.
My closet is pretty big, but it felt really cramped and uncomfortable when Vicki entered. She said she just wants to be friends again, but Meghan and Shannon both shot that down. Awkward!
For those keeping score, so far...Heather, Tamra and Shannon have said they forgive Vicki. But, Heather wants to treat Vicki as an acquaintance, while Shannon and Meghan don't want to rekindle their friendship. In my opinion, that is their loss. Vicki is one of the kindest, most considerate people I know. She is a successful entrepreneur and wonderful matriarch who is committed to the people she loves. I feel privileged to have her as my good friend.
As I got to know the other Housewives, none of them were shy about expressing their negative opinions about Vicki to me. They told me, "Don't trust her,""She's a liar,""She is a manipulator." All of which runs contrary to my experience with Vicki. So, when Meghan coached me to "stay mum," I took some offense. I am a grown woman and I can befriend whomever I want. If you don't want my opinion, then don't try to lobby me with your perspective. Having said that, I do regret saying "Meghan thinks the world revolves around her," and the dig about millennials. I was upset. I say stupid things when I am upset. You'll see.
One of the things that makes RHOC so special is that it shows real family dynamics. I enjoyed watching Jolie doing homework with my mom, Bobbi, and my brother, Eric, as well as Heather getting her kids ready for bed, and Vicki chasing after Troy and Owen. All those scenes are heartwarming, fun to watch and expressions of love.
I understand Heather's frustration with Terry's work and travel schedule. For most of our married life, Michael was always working long hours and traveling internationally six to eight times a year for weeks at a time. Now, however, he is always home and I wish he would go away somewhere. Heather should be careful what she wishes for.
I have to say, I am very impressed with Jimmy's spermsicles. I just want to know if that was all from one climax or was he dating Rosy Palm for a month? Really? 10 vials? Impressive."
