Melissa Tkautz is a singer, songwriter and an actress. She will soon become a reality tv star when the 42-year-old will make her debut on Foxtel's upcoming The Real Housewives of Sydney. The upcoming reality star opens about the reality of filming a reality series, motherhood and more.

Tkautz opens about the possiblities of having more children and motherhood. “I would love to have another child but I am so bloody old now,” she told Confidential. “I am really clucky at the moment. I don’t know whether it is because I am working so much and I’m not seeing my babies as much but I could do it, it would just have to be within the next six months.”

The former 90s singer and actor is already mom to her two children: Ayla, six, and Cuba, three.

Tkautz is best known as an actor for her work on TV series including E Street, Home and Away, All Saints and Housos. Musically, she had a number one hit with Read My Lips in 1991.

Melissa is entering into the world of reality television for the first time on Foxtel's upcoming The Real Housewives of Sydney.

“Usually when I walk on set I am playing a character so to go on set as myself is very confronting,” she explained. “You are basically putting yourself out there. The thing is, at the end of the day, there is not a lot of acting work around. I’ve been very blessed with the acting work that I’ve done but I was so curious to know what it is like to do reality tv, I’ve done everything else so why not give it a go.”

Tkautz will appear alongside fellow housewives Lisa Oldfield, Victoria Rees, Athena Levendi, Krissy Marsh, Matty Samaei and Nicole O’Neil.

Melissa also opens up about her friendship with fellow co-star Lisa Oldfield, who has caused lot of controversy even before the show began filming by referring to her castmates as “molls” and stirred rivalry with Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gamble Breaux.

“Lisa rants on Facebook but she is fabulous,” Tkautz said of Oldfield. “Of course there have been fights. Lisa owns snakes and guns, she’s got a very black side to her but she’s very forthright and I love a woman that is upfront. She is the kind of woman that will stab you in the front and not the back, which I love about her.”

The Real Housewives of Sydney is set to premiere sometime in 2017 on Foxtel's Arena.
