Scottie Pippen’s lawyer has released a statement after two voice recordings surfaced of his wife Larsa Pippen making calls to police alleging that her husband was being verbally aggressive towards her in early October prior to divorce drama.

“Mr. Pippen is aware that some members of the press have obtained 911 recordings recently made by Ms. Pippen. While these recordings speak for themselves, Ms. Pippen did not make any allegations of physical violence by Mr. Pippen,” Scottie’s attorney Roberta G. Stanley said in a statement to People on Tuesday. “Although Mr. and Ms. Pippen both have public personas, their divorce is a private matter. Mr. Pippen requests that the press respect his privacy and that of his family during this time.”

As previously reported, police were called twice in one week in early October to the former NBA player and Real Housewives of Miami star’s Fort Lauderdale home for domestic disturbances.

Last week, TMZ and The Daily Mail published the voice recordings of Larsa’s calls to the police. In the first call made Oct. 1, Larsa tearfully tells the responder, “Can you send someone over here? My husband’s being really aggressive with me.” On Oct. 4, she made a second call to Fort Lauderdale Police and told the responder, “My husband’s gotten crazy again with me.” No arrests were made on either occasion.

The calls were made weeks before Scottie filed for divorce from his wife of 19 years, with whom he shares four children: Sophia Pippen, Scotty Pippen Jr., Justin Pippen and Preston Pippen.

According to Florida court records, the NBA legend filed for divorce from the former Real Housewives of Miami star on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Larsa was notified of the filing that Thursday.

“This is a very difficult time for Mr. Pippen. He is hopeful that the divorce will be swift and amicable,” Stanley said in a previous statement to People. “We are respecting his request to protect his privacy and the privacy of his children during the dissolution of marriage proceedings.

As previously reported, according to court documents obtained by Radar Online via Broward County Circuit Court, it's revealed that Scottie has asked for 'ultimate responsibility' of the couple's children: Scottie Jr, Preston, Justin and Sophia.

He also announced he will file a Petition for Relocation on behalf of the children, and plans to relocate them to Chicago, Illinois. If forced to stay in Florida, Scottie said he should have the kids the “majority” of the time.

“If the Petition…is not granted, then it is in the minor children’s best interests that the Husband be awarded the majority of timesharing with the minor children during the pendency of this action and permanently thereafter,” the lawyers said.

Scottie, who is worth an estimated $50 million, pleaded with the court to not demand he pay alimony to his wife Larsa. In addition, it is claimed he requested the right to 'amend' the couple's prenup.

Meanwhile, Larsa claims that a prenup, signed in 1997 with terms that favored Scottie, was nullified a year ago in a joint agreement by the husband and wife.

She is demanding spousal support, the family home and school tuition fees for their four children. Larsa also wants the kids to stay in Florida, while Scottie wants to move them to Chicago.

Larsa is also seeking to use Scottie's life insurance policy as collateral in case he does not pay her after they split.

There's been accusations of infidelity on both sides, however it's unclear whether these alleged rumors are true or not. Scottie was rumored to be romantically involved with a Sports Illustrated model meanwhile Larsa was rumored of having a fling with rapper Future. However, both the rapper and Larsa have denied the accusations.
