When The Real Housewives of Atlanta premiered last week, Kenya Moore revealed that she had ended her relationship with Matt Jordan. According to Kenya, their split came after a confrontation during a trip to Mexico where "Matt lost control."
But after Matt's surprise visit to the Moore Manor housewarming party in this week's episode of the Bravo hit reality series, the two pledged to give their love another chance.
"I really just didn't know what he had to say. We hadn't spoken. We had broken up. He still had clothes in his closet. I didn't know if he was coming for that. I didn't know if he was coming to just start more trouble between us. I really just didn't know," Kenya told The Daily Dish. "But there was a part of me that was happy to see him."
There was no drama between Kenya and Matt as they went off to have a heart-to-heart about their future; there was just love. "I decided to move forward with Matt because he is really a good person. He has a heart of gold. He will do anything in the world for me. And he's proven his loyalty to me and his dedication and his love," Kenya explained (clip above). "So I wanted to give him a chance because I do feel like he's a great guy. He just is very emotionally reactive and a little bit immature. And that may just [be] par for the course with being 29 or just where he is in his life in dealing with a woman like me."
Kenya also said that she didn't want to give up on Matt at the first sign of trouble, as she had done in previous relationships. "I just feel like in the past, I've made mistakes because I don't forgive people. I move on, I'm the runner. You do something wrong, I'm out the door. Just show me one sign, baby, I'm gone. Gone, baby, gone," she said. "But with him, I think that he's shown me more patience in my life and maybe how to do things a different way."
The RHOA entrepreneur revealed that she and Matt are still together and are now "working on [their] relationship" this week on Watch What Happens Live (clip above). And Kenya said she has "absolutely" seen a change in Matt since the couple's tumultuous times earlier this year. "I think when he's upset he deals with it in a different way. He definitely is not damaging windows anymore, taking it out on my house," she revealed to The Daily Dish. "I see him using his words more, him really thinking out what he has to say before he has this emotional reaction."
