According to a new report, Real Housewives of Atlanta besties Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams are developing a dating app. “[Porsha] and I are both single, and we want to be able to use not just our personal resources, but the world wide web to find possible solutions for single women," Phaedra told Page Six.
Phaedra told the publication that she hopes people will use the dating app as a way to start serious relationships. She's even dubbed it the "anti-Tinder."“We want ours to be centered on people who really want to be in committed relationships. It’s not even going to be available for people who are under 25, because we feel like if you’re under 25, you’re probably not really focused on committed, serious relationships,” she said. “We want people that are interested in lifelong commitments, not just hookups.”
Once the currently-untitled dating app launches, which is set for sometime in 2017, Phaedra said they're planning on organizing social events where users can meet up in the real world in a group setting. She also said she hopes to make the app available to users in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and of course, Atlanta.
Ultimately, the goal of the app is to make it a little easier for busy people to find love. “I come into contact with so many women who want to be married, and men, who want to be married and have children, but if you are a professional and have a strong work ethic, you don’t have a lot of time to meander through the city looking for the one,” Phaedra explained. “I think our dating app is going to help you sift through the weeds to find a flower.”
