“The Wife needs temporary alimony, durational alimony, permanent alimony, and/or any combination thereof,” her attorneys wrote in the papers. “The Husband has the ability to pay same.”
Since the filings, Larsa and Scottie have both completed a parenting and family stabilization course.
According to Florida court records, the NBA legend filed for divorce from the former Real Housewives of Miami star on Tuesday, Oct. 18. Larsa was notified of the filing that Thursday.
“This is a very difficult time for Mr. Pippen. He is hopeful that the divorce will be swift and amicable,” Stanley said in a previous statement to People. “We are respecting his request to protect his privacy and the privacy of his children during the dissolution of marriage proceedings.
As previously reported, according to court documents obtained by Radar Online via Broward County Circuit Court, it's revealed that Scottie has asked for 'ultimate responsibility' of the couple's children: Scottie Jr, Preston, Justin and Sophia.
He also announced he will file a Petition for Relocation on behalf of the children, and plans to relocate them to Chicago, Illinois. If forced to stay in Florida, Scottie said he should have the kids the “majority” of the time.
“If the Petition…is not granted, then it is in the minor children’s best interests that the Husband be awarded the majority of timesharing with the minor children during the pendency of this action and permanently thereafter,” the lawyers said.
Scottie, who is worth an estimated $50 million, pleaded with the court to not demand he pay alimony to his wife Larsa. In addition, it is claimed he requested the right to 'amend' the couple's prenup.
Meanwhile, Larsa claims that a prenup, signed in 1997 with terms that favored Scottie, was nullified a year ago in a joint agreement by the husband and wife.
She is demanding spousal support, the family home and school tuition fees for their four children. Larsa also wants the kids to stay in Florida, while Scottie wants to move them to Chicago.
Larsa is also seeking to use Scottie's life insurance policy as collateral in case he does not pay her after they split.
In other news, Andy Cohen recently announced the official cancellation of The Real Housewives of Miami.
