After a successful first season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne, the producers of the hit reality show are searching to add new and interesting wealthy women for the next season. It's not yet clear whether some of the original cast have decided to throw in the towel or if additions are being made to the cast. The Daily Mail is reporting that a well-known Melbourne socialite woman, who was approached for season one but turned it down, has been asked to star in season two. It is believed she shot them down again. But the producers are continuing their hunt for women who can hold their and who are not afraid of getting their hands dirty.
However, Gina Liano has made it very clear that she's unsure if she wants to return for another season.“I think it would be difficult for me to put myself in that position again,” Liano told the TV Week. “When I went into it the first time, I had no idea I would be targeted and it would be such a hate campaign.”
“The outpouring of love and support I’ve had from the audience has made it so much better,” she said. “When I’m struggling with it and I open up my fan page on Facebook, it actually is very healing.”
She also said on the red carpet this weekend during TV Week's Logie Awards that season 2 hasn't been finalized. “They haven’t told us with they are commissioning a second series, but I suspect they will,” she said, echoing industry watchers. Other cast members haven’t really spoken publicly about the possibility of returning.
