Billie Lee took to Twitter to claim that she wasn’t invited to an upcoming “Girls Night” event thrown at SUR, implying it was because she is trans. Billie, who was introduced during last season of
Vanderpump Rules as the first openly transgender cast member also slammed her co-stars for "excluding" from the event.
“When you coworkers don’t include the only trans girl in GIRLS night at your own job! On the night you work,” she tweeted, adding the hashtags “RudeAF” and “TransIsBeautiful.”
Kristen Doute quickly to responded to Billie's tweet, writing, “It’s not your event. Don’t make this about something it’s not. #NoH8.”
Bille then fired back and shaded Doute, writing, “Boo you don't work there so why are you speaking?”
When fans began asking about the event, the SUR hostess tweeted again. “This was not a birthday at someone’s house. This was an event called GIRLS night at my job where I work and on the night I’m scheduled,” she wrote. “It’s not a matter if you like me or not! I work there.”
The event was first posted to social media by Brittany Cartwright, who shared the flyer that was scheduled for Tuesday, July 3. Brittany tagged Katie Maloney, Ariana Madix, Scheana Shay, Stassi Schroeder, Jax Taylor and Lisa Vanderpump in the photo – but not Billie.
Thirty minutes later, Scheana also posted the flyer, tagging Billie Lee in her Instagram post. “Come join me, @itsmebillielee @ariana252525 @lalakent and @musickillskate for some silky robe fun and lots of SURprises!! See you there! 9pm. Boys are very welcome,” the caption read.
In fact, Billie Lee commented on the Instagram, writing, “Thanks babe for including me in GIRLS night. #transisbeautiful I appreciate you always supporting me and my community.”
In fact, Billie came under fire as fans of the Bravo hit reality show accused her of creating drama just to remain relevant on the show's upcoming seventh season, which is currently filming.
Many fans of the show shared screenshots of Billie promoting the event prior, where she then deleted them and then took to Twitter where she claimed that she hadn't been invited. See screenshots below!
Many #PumpRules cast members like Ariana Madix, Kristen Doute, Katie Maloney, Stassi Schroeder and even Tom Schwartz responded to Billie's claims.
"I love her dearly and she is very much included," wrote Ariana about Billie. "We will all be working tomorrow."
Meanwhile, Katie and Kristen defended themselves from Billie's claim. "I'm completely supportive and will always be supportive of the LGBTQ comminuty," wrote Katie. "EVERYONE is invited and welcome tomorrow!"
"Thank you. We are not hateful people and ABSOLUTELY support the LGBTQ community. A person is a person is a person," wrote Doute.
Meanwhile, Stassi and Schwartz came for their co-stars defense and called out Billie for being "melodramatic."
"I’m sorry. I tried to stay out of this but this is just too much. Your whole mission is to spread equality and you condemn people like me when I lack social awareness. This is legit the epitome of lacking social awareness," wrote Stassi on Billie's Instagram page. "There are families being torn apart, there are people being killed because they’re gay, and you’re saying you are going through an awful time because you weren’t tagged in a flyer by friends of mine who you have been so incredibly rude to? It’s about your behavior, not your gender status. My friends are the biggest LGBTQ supporters out there. We pride ourselves an that. I won’t stand for you making it about that. I hope you see the light on this one."
Billie wrote back: "@stassischroeder as a trans woman and activist you have no idea where I’m coming from. #transisbeautiful 💔✌"
Stassi then replied to Billie, writing: "@itsmebillielee trans is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. You’re allowed to feel however you feel, but to accuse my friends of this being over transphobia is very wrong."
Billie responded to Stassi, writing: "I never once said transphobia! Can you show me where you saw that? The word transphobia was never written or said by me."
Meanwhile, Schwartz wrote, "Billy this is so melodramatic. It was a simple oversight. You are loved, chill."
Billie replied, writing: "It's Billie with an IE and I was tagged hours after I said something and never included in any planning. I didn't know about it till Katie posted. She planned it and decided not to include me. It's girls night at my work not her birthday party. You can kindly set this one out boo. #namaste"
