Meghan King Edmonds and her husband Jim Edmonds called it quits after five years of marriage,
Us Weekly reports. According to multiple sources, Jim filed for divorce on Friday, October 25, the day after the estranged couple’s fifth wedding anniversary.
The source added that the pair got into an argument and the police were called. “Meghan and Jim have been fighting,” one source told the publication.
“The latest fight began when he went to a recent hockey game and she began interrogating him about who he went with.” She also accused him of “having an affair” with the nanny, according to the source.
The former Bravo reality star and the former baseball pro tied the knot in October 2014. They share 2-year-old daughter Aspen and 16-month-old twin boys, Hayes and Hart.
The news comes months after
AllAboutTheTea.com reported that Jim cheated on his second wife, Allison Jayne Raski, with a woman who is allegedly referred to as the “baseball madame.” (The exes, who split in 2014, share two children.)
A source alleged that the two reconnected in March 2018 when Meghan was pregnant with the couple’s now 12-month-old twin sons, Hart and Hayes.
AllAboutTheTEA.com published explicit screenshots of text messages allegedly sent from Jim, including photos of his penis. The website further alleged that he sent a video of himself masturbating on the same day Meghan gave birth to their twins.
The blogger allegedly confronted the woman after finding out about her exchanges with Jim. The sports broadcaster procured a non-disclosure agreement with her, according to the website, reports

As for Jim, he released a statement. “Regrettably, I had a lapse in judgment. I engaged in an inappropriate conversation with this person,” Jim told
Us Weekly. “At no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact. Absolutely none. This is someone trying to profit from my name. I am aware she has done this to others in the past.”
The retired baseball player went on to apologize. “Clearly, I made a very poor decision to expose myself and my family to this type of person. For this, I am truly sorry and sought forgiveness from my wife,” the statement continued. “I’m outraged over the intent to ruin my family and intend to take legal action. We were never having any problems in our marriage. My attorney is in possession of documents wherein this person has admitted fabricating large portions of her ‘story.’”
Jim reiterated that he “never had any sort of a physical relationship outside of my marriage with her or anyone else.”
This week, Meghan gave an update on her marriage to Jim. “We're still married, we're still together, we're not separated. I know my engagement ring is well known! I'm still wearing it. I've never stopped wearing it," she told
The Daily Mail. "We're in the family home, we're in the same bed. We're not having therapy, we're talking.”
The mother-of-three reveals how she discovered her husband's alleged indiscretion. "I found out the same day, the same way that everybody else did," she explained. "A person I don't know forwarded me a link on social media. I clicked on it and read it.”
“When I read it, I had a feeling, I knew in my gut there was truth to it. I was shocked and I took a shower.”
“I'd never experienced a turmoil of emotions like it; I felt overwhelmingly alone and sad.”
Meghan then reveals how her husband came clean and told her everything. “We were still a normal, married couple. Physically, nothing was missing from our relationship. Jim was in New York working. We FaceTimed and he came clean and told me everything,” she said.
“He was extremely emotional, crying and remorseful. He wanted to fly straight back to be with me but I told him that I did not want him to do that until he had finished working, so that’s what he did.”
“When he was back it was like I was having two separate emotions. On one hand I was so sad and hurt and on the other, he is my best friend in the world and the only person I want to be with at a difficult time. It was confusing.”
She continued: “I felt at the time that those revelations would be the tip of the iceberg, that a lot more would come out. I was actually very scared, too. But as we talked I just wanted to get everything out, get the truth out and start to build.”
“There turned out to be a lot less to come out. There was no physical relationship. He only met this other woman when she stalked him one time,” Meghan shared. “This woman is a con artist. She's gone after so many baseball players. She was out to get some money and she got it, then she was on to the next one.”
“It was a baiting kind of thing. She would do that and move on. Believe me I am still mad at him but once I figured that out, what she was like, I was able to pull our family together. It actually made it more bearable.”
Meghan then reveals why she knew that her husband never had a physical relationship with Villegas.
“The second I saw her photo I saw she was disgusting. I saw how gross she was and I knew, “All good,” she told
The Daily Mail. “I knew he would never touch her. That helped me. Then I knew it was just a sexting thing. The pics she sent him were all highly filtered and she had sunglasses on, body parts were altered. It was all very sex related.”
She continued: “She told him that they had met in the past. She made up some story about how he helped her ten years ago by carrying some stuff to her car or something. Then she wanted to know about his workouts then the naked pictures started coming. They never met ten years or so ago either, that was a lie."
“I can’t relate to somebody like that because I’m not immoral." said Meghan: "You know what, she doesn’t really mean anything to me. She's just like a function of my husband's bad decision. I don’t want to think about her and I have nothing I want to say to her. Do I feel deep emotion about her at this point? No.”
