During the premiere party for the fifth season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, newbie Lisa Rinna told E! News that doing the Bravo reality hit show was very similar to Melrose Place. The Soap star veteran explains why she decided to join the Real Housewives series and hints about the upcoming drama. Check it out below!
"This is very close to doing Melrose Place without a script in your hand," she said. Rinna had been rumored to join the series during past seasons and was adamant that she was not joining the fray…until now.
"Like everything in life, it's all about timing. It's funny, when I went on to Melrose Place it was year five. This is year five of Housewives…To be honest with you, after talking about it with my husband, it's been a really great gig for me," she said, citing her time with her kids and being at home. "It felt right, to be honest with you…and I like an adventure, I was looking for an adventure."
In The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills trailer, Rinna is seen throwing wine (or some other kind of liquid)—and subsequently, a glass—at costar Kim Richards. Rinna had to remain coy about the details, but said, "I can't say it's anything I would have ever expected or imagined to ever have happen in my life…most of my friends have ever heard me raise my voice or get angry, really…what I learned is I am fiercely protective of my family."
