Cynthia Bailey is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Cynthia Bailey shares her thoughts on the new girl and Apollo Nida's confession. Check out what Cynthia had to say below!
Bravotv.com: Why didn’t you want to invite Porsha and NeNe to your event?
Cynthia Bailey: I chose not invite Porsha to my Ebony Magazine party since she spoke negatively about me on WWHL. I was under the impression we had always gotten along without any real issues. The first time I met Porsha was with NeNe at the home of her grandfather, Hosea Williams. I was excited to meet the granddaughter of such a legendary historical black leader. I was impressed by her strength and commitment to her grandfather’s legacy. I’m led to believe Porsha’s unkind remarks in her interview were directed toward me because I did not support her actions at the reunion. In my opinion, Porsha could have made a better choice than resulting to physical violence. If I were in that situation, I would have demanded the props be removed and walked off set until they were. Once again, I will reiterate the reunion is an extremely provocative environment and all of the ladies clearly understand that we are not there to trade recipes. The reunion has always been a playground for the possibility of being taunted or verbally attacked. All of the ladies are expected to come prepared with a cool and intelligent plan of defense.
I did not invite NeNe since we no longer were friends.
Bravotv.com: How did you choose your look for the party?
CB: I was so honored to be chosen and featured by Ebony Magazine in their “Sexy at Any Age” editorial spread. I have always been proud of my age, and although my knees ain't what they used to be, I feel like I represent the 40s woman extremely well. I think getting older is a privilege that is not always granted to everyone, so I cherish every day and try to live my life to the fullest. As for my look at the party, I wanted to look sexy of course, since the focus of the feature celebrates being sexy at any age. I chose the suit as opposed to the expected tight little dress. I thought the suit was not only sexier, it was also a little more fashion forward and very classy. A huge thank you to my husband Peter for throwing me the party. Life should always be celebrated, and not taken for granted.
Bravotv.com: What was your initial impression of Kenya’s friend Claudia?
CB: My initial impression of Claudia was that she seemed very comfortable in her own skin and had no problem asking questions or voicing her opinion. I also felt an immediate connection with her, because she has a modeling history and we both are New York City girls. Claudia understands the NYC hustle and grind that is necessary for being successful in the Big Apple.
Bravotv.com: How shocked were you by Apollo saying he lied about seeing Kenya in LA?
CB: I was more disappointed with Apollo than shocked by this revelation. I know that after perpetuating these false accusations about Kenya for the last couple of years, there had to be some much needed peace by coming clean. Although I will never fully understand why he felt the need to assassinate Kenya's character in the first place, I am relieved that the truth is finally out and hope Kenya can forgive him and move on. I wish him well, and will keep him in my prayers.
