In a recent interview with Bravo, Albie Manzo talks about this week's episode of Manzo'd With Children. Albie Manzo dishes on his relationship and not being able to keep a secret. Check it out below!
Bravotv.com: How excited were you to see Greg?
Albie Manzo: Really exited. I was a little annoyed with myself for not catching on to him surprising Lauren sooner though. It was so unbelievably obvious that there would be no way Greg would let that moment pass without somehow trying to make it about himself that there's just no excusable reason for me to have missed it. Two things in life are for certain, death and Greg making a dramatic entrance at any event where the focus is not set squarely on him.
Bravotv.com: Were you offended that Chris and Greg said you can't keep a secret and Greg surprised you in person instead of letting you in on his plan?
AM: Not at all. Reason being is that I can absolutely not keep a secret. Well, at least not a good news secret. It's not because I'm a blabbermouth, I just get excited and I love to be the bearer of good news. Let me also make this clear, I would never have explicitly told Lauren that Greg was coming. I would however have dropped some serious hints with a giant grin on my face all like, "Sooooo anyone else coming to the shower? Anyone from out of town?” I am the absolute worst when it comes to stuff like that, I have a horrible poker face and for that reason it was a good move to keep me out of the loop.
Bravotv.com: Were you nervous to have Brittany help set up for the bridal shower?
AM: Not really. I had promised myself I was going to let things be this time and just let the situation evolve on its own. I was really proud of her at the time actually because I thought that she had genuinely wanted to be around my family.
Bravotv.com: How uncomfortable were you when Jacqueline started questioning you and Brittany about your relationship and your future plans together?
AM: It was uncomfortable because I had literally just walked inside and that day is supposed to be about Lauren. On and off camera I think that Lauren & Vito's wedding got a lot of people excited and naturally you start to ask "who's next?" Obviously being the oldest and dating someone at the time, I get how people could want to try and connect those dots. I am already in my head enough about things going on in my life and I promised myself that I wouldn't make my sister and best friend's wedding about me or other people pressuring me to make that same commitment to someone. The reaction you see isn't about being afraid to get married or take that step with someone, I just want to take my time and be sure. Nothing would make me happier than to be in a situation where I am committed to someone and excited about where our lives are heading. We had great parents growing up and a big part of me wants to play that role for someone one day. I am in no way afraid of commitment, I am however, afraid of commitment to the wrong person. I am not going to race to the altar and get married just because other people think I should. If I am going to do it, I am going to do it right and I am going to do it once.
Bravotv.com: Did it make you rethink or question your relationship with Brittany?
AM: In that moment, no. I was happy she was getting along with everyone.
