The Real Housewives of New York City are finally back! New year, new season, and cast changes, as you can tell by the group photo above, returning to Season 6 are Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radzwill, Heather Thompson, Aviva Dresher and introducing the newest housewife Kristen Taekman. "They're back! Ready or not, here they come. . .Season 6 of Bravo Media's The Real Housewives of New York City premieres on Tuesday, March 11 at 9/8 c. Back this season are Aviva Drescher, Sonja Morgan, Carole Radziwill, Ramona Singer, and Heather Thomson, who are joined by model and businesswoman Kristen Taekman as they navigate their hectic lifestyles of jam-packed social calendars, careers, relationships, children, and the hustle and bustle of city living. Also returning in a recurring role this season is Countess LuAnn de Lesseps. This season follows the ladies as they mix business with pleasure, party like rock stars, summer in the Hamptons, and allow their emotions to get the best of them any chance they get. Old rivalries will be reignited and new ones born, all while emotional twists and turns, surprise romantic encounters, and passionate arguments keep everyone guessing where people's true loyalties lie. There is no shortage of outlandish moments and guttural laughs as the ladies find themselves as fish out of water when they leave the safety of Manhattan for more rustic locales like a cabin in the Berkshires and a "glamping" trip to Montana."

Aviva Drescher is the first and only New York Cityborn and bred "Housewife" in the history of the show. At 5'10" with brains to match her beauty, this philanthropist, author, businesswoman, and full-time mother will let nothing hold her back. When Aviva was just six years old, she was in a tragic farm accident that resulted in the amputation of her left leg. Aviva has never let this tragedy define who she is. Aviva has an impressive education that includes a Bachelors of Arts degree from VassarCollege, a Masters degree in French from New YorkUniversity, and a JD from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. In place of practicing law, she devotes her time to her investment banker husband, Reid, and raising their four children on the Upper West Side. Aviva teaches her family the importance of giving back by example through her philanthropic work as the National Spokesperson for One Step Ahead and CAF organizations helping amputees, as well as by serving as an Advisory Board Member of Cancer Schmancer/Trash Cancer and for her work with the Live4Life Foundation. Aviva's memoire, Leggy Blonde, is out February 25, 2014 and her all natural anti-anxiety supplement, "Vivacalm," is out in March 2014.
Best-selling author and award-winning journalist Carole Radziwill grew up in upstate New York. She moved to New York City at age 18 to attend college, earning a B.A. at HunterCollegeand a Masters degree at New YorkUniversity. In 1988 she landed a life-changing internship at ABC News. It was the start of a long and rewarding career. Carole's work with Peter Jennings' documentary unit and the news magazine shows PrimeTime Live and 20/20 garnered her three Emmy awards, a Robert F. Kennedy Humanitarian award, and a GLADD award. Carole has traveled all over the world for her work, reporting on hard-hitting stories from places like Cambodia, India, and the Middle East. She was stationed in Israelin 1991, to cover the first Gulf War. And in 2001, during the Afghanistan War, she spent a month documenting the 101st Airborne Division in Khandahar for the ABC docu-series Profiles From the Front Line. In 2003 Carole left ABC News to write her first book, What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Love. It is a moving account of her life, her marriage to fellow ABC News producer Anthony Radziwill, and their heartbreaking battle with cancer. What Remains spent over 20 weeks on The New York Times Bestseller List and was nominated for the "Books for a Better Life" award. Carole is a frequent contributor to Glamour magazine and Portermagazine. Her first novel, The Widow's Guide to Sex & Dating, will be in bookstores in February 2014. She is at work on her next book titled In Search of Liam Neeson, which is a collection of essays ranging from love to war to the pitfalls of pop culture.
A savvy and highly successful businesswoman, Heather Thomson is the creator of "Yummie by Heather Thomson," a popular and innovative shapewear line. In her 20 years as a successful designer and stylist, Heather has worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment including Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, Tina Knowles and Sean "Diddy" Combs. She was the founding Design Director for his Sean John line and is credited as a major force behind multiple CFDA award nominations. A married mother to two children -- Jax, 9, and Ella Rae, 7 -- the idea for "Yummie by Heather Thomson" was born shortly after having her children. Disappointed by existing shapewear, she set out to create something sexier, comfier, and "yummier." She came up with her patented three-panel system that is now Yummie's signature. Since the launch of her original tank, "Yummie by Heather Thomson" has expanded into categories beyond shapewear such as denim, leggings, panties, and bras. In addition to her professional work, Heather supports several charitable initiatives including Kellner Family Pediatric Liver Disease Foundation, City of Hope, and the Tick Borne Disease Alliance. Kristen Taekman has been a working model since the age of 14, gracing the cover of magazines, walking the runways of Europe and the US, and serving as the face of many high profile commercial campaigns. In addition to modeling full-time, her keen business sense led her to launch her own successful line of high-end greeting card boxes called 2nd Street Press in 2009. Born in Connecticut, Kristen is mother to five-year old son Cash and two-year old daughter Kingsley with her husband of 10 years Josh, co-founder of the natural energy supplement EBOOST. She stays in shape by keeping up with her children’s many school, social and extracurricular activities along with her disciplined pursuit of pilates, JCORE fitness, and an EBOOST a day. Kristen has a deep love for Elvis Presley and knows the lyrics to all of his songs. She also shows her admiration with a four-foot by five-foot painting of "The King" she displays in the hallway of her TriBeCa apartment. Kristen lives by her philosophy of "telling it like it is" because she has nothing to hide.
Ramona Singer is an is an astute businesswoman and a true aficionado of fashion with a passion for being a wife and mother. Ramona has taken the beauty and accessory industries by storm with her Tru Renewal skincare line and her True Faith jewelry collection. In addition, she is able to have Turtle Time all the time with her Ramona Pinot Grigio and Ramona Red. Ramona is passionate about her charity work, especially supporting women and children who are victims of domestic abuse after the abuse she witnessed her own mother endure. Ramona has always been a strong believer that children are the future and became involved with the Africa Foundation/And Beyond, which helps build schools for children in Africa where there are none. Ramona recently visited Africa to see the final product of a school kitchen she helped build. With Avery off on her first year of college, Ramona has been able to focus a bit more on herself and her own interests including fitness and cooking for Mario. One thing still hasn't changed with Ramona, what you see is what you get!
Sonja Morgan is a fixture of New York Citysociety. She got her start modeling in Paris and Milan while studying marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, representing high-end luxury brands while keeping her Berkshire-bred sensibilities and values. Sonja used her business acumen, social skills, and rock-and-roll royalty to launch several luxury brands and successful hot-spots across the country. Sonja captured America's attention with her groundbreaking toaster oven recipes, which inspired her all-encompassing international lifestyle fashion brand that is set to debut at top department stores worldwide. As a single mother, Sonja dedicates her time to her 13-year-old daughter, her businesses, and her philanthropy, which includes work with the LGBT community as well as organizations supporting children, artists and animals. She recently received a NY State Senate award in July 2013 for her entrepreneurial business savvy, her use of media and for her charity work. In addition, she was interviewed regarding the same topic by The Economist magazine at the NY Stock Exchange for Bloomberg TV. Sonja's motto remains "to live each day as if you have nothing to lose and everything to gain."
LuAnn de Lesseps, everyone's favorite Countess, continues to juggle a busy schedule between work and being a single mom of two children. Her daughter Victoria, an accomplished artist, is in her second year of college and her son, Noel, has kept busy with his high school studies in NYC and opening a skateboard business called Fancy Fool. LuAnn continues to make appearances championing her favorite charities including the American Cancer Society, ACE Soho Partnership for the Homeless, GLAAD, Miracle House, and a host of others. LuAnn continues to challenge herself and expand her career with her frequent host and guest appearances on major national and regional TV shows including Steve Harvey, Wendy Williams, OMG Insider, The Talk, OK! TV and others. She has made the leap to network scripted television with roles on Royal Pains and Law & Order: SVU and in theatre with Celebrity Autobiography. Known and admired for her distinctive style, LuAnn has signed a multi-layered deal for a lifestyle brand called The Countess Collection which includes clothing, jewelry, home and other products.
